Big game hunters

Robert just got back from hunting so Cassidy wanted to get some photos taken with their matching camo's. He is still waiting for "the big one", but Cassidy already has hers on her feet--two eight pointers! Notice that she has both summer and winter camo's.

You see Jed, I told you she would wear her outfit, eventually:)

First Christmas

We spent our first Christmas with Cassidy at home. Having been blessed with a child of our own this year, the meaning of CHRISTmas was even that more special this year. Cappy and Nonna joined us, or should I say, they joined Cassidy for her first Christmas. She had quite the time opening and eating the gifts, especially the tissue paper!

Early Christmas

We had an early Christmas with some of Robert's out-of-town family in Boerne this past weekend. It was a lot of fun seeing family and later walking around Boerne for the Cowboy Christmas. Before heading up to Boerne, we stopped by Cappy and Nonna's so they could see their favorite grandbaby (in San Antonio).

Sitting pretty in Nonna's rocking chair.
Notice the two teeth in this picture! Daddy, Mommy & Cassidy

The family!

Picture for the Christmas card

The Christmas card this year, of course, had to feature the newest member of the family, but that didn't come easy. After several attempts, at least twenty, we got the perfect shot, but as you can see by some of the pictures, Cassidy was not having as much fun as mommy was having!

Pictures with Santa

Since mommy never took pictures with Santa, Cassidy was the first one in line to get hers done. After several attempts and many beard pullings, we got several good shots. The Santa ordeal was so exhausting that Cassidy had to take a nap with piggy when she got home.

Big girl chair

Cassidy got a big girl chair just like mommy's...I couldn't resist!

Seven months old

Cassidy is seven months old today! She is getting so big, too fast! She said "da" the other day, so of course, Robert took that and ran saying she said "dada". She is getting ready for Christmas by sporting her reindeer outfit with matching slippers.

Santa sighting in Boerne

We did some shopping in Boerne this weekend with Tami, Kacey and Addison. As we were leaving, Papa Noel, a.k.a., Santa or father Christmas, was spotted arriving for pictures. He practically insisted on taking a picture with Cassidy, especially when he found out her name was the same as his daughter's, Cassie! Who knew Santa had a daughter named Cassidy...go figure;)

First Thanksgiving

Cassidy spent her first Thanksgiving with family at Grandpa Walter's house. She got to play with her cousin Addison because they were both awake at the same time, which is rare (refer back to six months old post)!

Tami and I practicing what our play dates might consist of in the near future...fun:)

Cassidy sure was having a good time playing with her real life baby doll, Addison.

First plane ride

I don't want to brag, but I think Cassidy was the best baby ever on a plane:) She didn't cry, fuss or squirm. She slept going to Nashville and slept most of the way coming home except for a brief moment in which she entertained herself by watching her video. She did exceptionally well the whole weekend with daddy doing most of the babysitting. Cassidy has already been to three weddings since she was born...she is quite the socialite!

Thank you Aunt Kay Kay for the outfit...Cassidy was quite the hit!

Daddy and his babies

I couldn't pass up this photo op with Robert and his two favorite babies, Cassidy and Jack! Notice how Jack isn't quite as happy as Cassidy since he is no longer daddy's #1 baby.

Mommy playing dress-up

We are headed to Nashville this weekend for Wendy's wedding, so I had to pull out all the fun cooler weather clothes that she would never get to wear here. She tolerated most of it until I started putting hats on her head, so playtime (for mommy) came to a screeching halt after that.

Mommy's little eskimo!

My little ballerina/gymnast!

Our Spurs princess!

Basketball season has started and Cassidy doesn't know it yet, but she is a huge Spurs fan!

Six months old

Cassidy turned six months old on Friday. We went to Houston with Aunt Terri to visit Aunt Lesley, Uncle Jody, and cousins Tami, Kacey and Addison. We did a lot of shopping, talking, laughing and drooling (the latter being Cassidy).

Cassidy doesn't fall asleep easily when being held, but Aunt Lesley has the magic touch!
It was tough coordinating a picture of Cassidy and Addison because when one was awake the other was sleeping.

While shopping there was also snack time when Cassidy couldn't decide between fingers or toes!

Lobster anyone?

What can I say? There is not a whole lot out there the day before Halloween, but the costumes that are left are close to nothing, and I can't pass up a clearance item. I couldn't exatly tell my friends she was going to be a lobster when they were dressing up their children as puppies, bears, bunnies and flowers. Even though Cassidy will probably scold me many years from now for putting her in such a costume, she does make a pretty cute lobster if I must say so myself:)

I think she might be sticking her tongue out at me, probably!

Cappy had to come by to love on his little lobster.

Yee Haw!

Cassidy was donning her best cowgirl outfit including the pigtails. We have no plans to go trick or treating, but I had so many people ask what she was going to be I had to come up with something. To be continued...

Trip to the park

We took Cassidy to the park today to see the ducks. Unfortunately, the ducks weren't around, but I did get a picture of Robert and Cassidy, the baby girl version of Robert...See, I told you she looks like her daddy!

Cassidy's dedication

Sunday was Cassidy's dedication at church. Both sets of grandparents were there and Cassidy's Aunt Laurel was also there from Indiana.
