Santa spotting

We have the privilege of having a Bass Pro Shop right here in town. Okay, most rednecks and my husband think it is a privilege, but I love it because it is cheap entertainment for the kids. Santa just happened to be there when we were visiting, so good times for all!

Ice (not really) skating

I took Cassidy ice skating or at least as close as we can get to ice skating in South Texas. So instead of ice skating we actually went hard platic covered with a special gel skating. I thought it was harder to skate on this than actual ice. She was unsure at first, but just like roller skating, she had it down in no time.

Believe it or not...

After our adventure roller skating, all three kids fell asleep in the car. This NEVER happens! I enjoyed the silence by sitting in the car with them in the driveway for 45 minutes while they all slept.

Orange Out!

My UTSA Roadrunners had their first season of football this year. They did pretty good! Dad took Cassidy and I to our first game. We arrived early so we could tailgate or at least be a spectator of all the craziness. Season tickets here I come!

Roller Skating

We took to the hardwood to let the kids try their skating skills in an actual skating arena other than the driveway or hallway. Cassidy is a natural. She is very athletic just like her mommy or even her daddy, it depends on who you ask. Davis is just a go-getter. If his Sissy can do it, then he can do it. I truly thought Dalton would not even attempt skating, but was I wrong, especially once I gave him this walker thing with wheels that helps them stay on their feet.
Laura even got to give skating a try for the first time. I am so proud!

Maggie

Cousin Maggie made a quick visit to Texas to visit Papa Walter. The kids didn't get to spend much time with her, but we all enjoyed the time we did get to see her.

Princess Tea Party

We went to a princess tea party in Boerne where all of the female characters from Beauty and Beast served and sang for us. Somehow, Cassidy was quite familiar with making sure her pinky was raised while drinking her tea. Where did she learn that??? MOM!!

Toy Story done right!

In case you don't have kids or aren't part of the 21st century, the kids dressed as the characters from the movie Toy Story. Cassidy was an adorable Jessie, Davis was an out-of-this-world Buzz Lightyear and Dalton was the perfect Woody (no comments from the peanut gallery). Their cousins Addison, aka Ariel, and Macie Kate, aka Minnie Mouse, joined us for trick or treating. It was a lot of fun for all! We were lucky enough to also have Cally in town. She helped us pilfer the candy and do an excellent paint job on the kid's faces.

Oh yes I did!

I sent the boys to school wearing this costume for Halloween. I won't have to wait until the boys are older...Dalton is already very unhappy with me!
