Goodbye to Garraty

We sold our house on Garraty so we went down on Wednesday, the day before closing, to get our final pictures in the house that has been so good to us. It was the first home Robert and I purchased together, the first home we brought our precious Cassidy home to, and also our first home to hold so many of our memories. It was bittersweet, but the Lord took the burden of two mortgages away very quickly (moved out in February, put it on the market in March and sold it in April) and blessed us with two new babies on the way.

For Mother's Day this year, we went downtown with Daddy, Cappy and Nonna for lunch.

Time with great uncle

Cassidy got to meet and play with her great uncle Jim this week for the very first time.

Big girl ponytail

Cassidy has gotten to the point where she will let me do just about anything with her hair, so we went for the ponytail. Not only did she like it when she saw herself in the mirror, but she was acting like quite the big girl that she is.

Playtime in the yard

The weather has been so beautiful lately, so we have been spending a lot of time outdoors. Here is Cassidy just being cute!

To blog or not to blog...

I was torn on whether to blog about this or not, but since this blog is about Cassidy, I felt it was pertinent. (WARNING: For those of you that can't handle the topic of potty and poopie, I would skip this post.) We bought a potty seat for Cassidy a couple months back because she was expressing some interest in sitting on our potty. So, I haven't put any pressure on her to use it, she would usually just ask to sit on her potty. To our amazement, in the last four days she has gone potty twice in the evening right before bathtime and poopie once this morning and this afternoon right before naptime. Don't worry though, I won't be like Kate on "Jon and Kate Plus 8" and take or post pics of the "end" product. Cassidy loves the praise she gets and we are so proud of our big girl!

Look Who's 2!

Cassidy turned two on Saturday and we had a birthday party at the house with some family and friends. We surprised her with a moon bounce and slide for her party and mommy baked her a special dairy-free cake with icing just for her...surpisingly, it was pretty good.

Let her eat cake!

Poor baby has never had cake other than the "super-dense dairy-free" cake Nonna made her last year, so it appeared she might have enjoyed this cake, which was also dairy-free, a little bit more than last year. No offense Nonna, but you remember that thing:)

Jumping and sliding

I am not sure who had more fun on the bouncer, Cassidy or Robert!
