Cassidy loves her dog, Jack. Anything and everything is referred to as "Jack". Lately I have been shutting the door to her room when we play in there so she stays put, but Jack is not allowed in the room. So, Cassidy has started looking for him under the door (notice Jack's nose peeking through), and, of course, on the other side of the door, Jack is doing the same thing. We have always thought of our dogs as our children, but now I really believe it seeing that Jack and Cassidy have the same mannerisms (butts in the air).

Yoga or Pilates?
No, she's not stretching or playing peek-a-boo, she's sleeping! I went in to check on her this afternoon during her nap and my ever-flexible baby was sleeping in this position...Ouch! (Do not attempt this stunt at home, can only be performed by professional stunt baby!)

Birthday Party (Round 2)
Cassidy had so much fun at her first birthday party, we had another party for her on Saturday. She got to experience a real cake at this party (with actual milk and eggs in it), but she still wasn't that interested in getting down and dirty. So, with a little help from daddy, she ended up with some cake and frosting on her face, her dress, her hair, her daddy, and the floor and wall.

The Princess and her Chariot
Cassidy received a wagon for her birthday from her Cappy and Nonna and she has been having so much fun riding in it. Radio Flyer wagons have come a long way since I was a kid. Her wagon seats two comfortably (no, I have no news to tell), has drink holders and a canopy. I guess for her second birthday we will have to get her a car to top this.
Let her eat cake
Cassidy was a very busy girl for her birthday. She had breakfast in bed (mommy's lap), she had a manicure (mommy clipping her sharp nails) and she had lunch at the park with mommy and the ducks. For dinner we went to Cappy & Nonna's and Cassidy had her first birthday cake. This cake was free of milk and eggs to thwart any allergic reactions. Because of the lack of those ingredients, the cake didn't have the messy effect mommy was hoping for, but she enjoyed it anyway.

First Boo-Boo
Cassidy got her first boo-boo today. While crawling on the floor, she slipped on the hardwood and used her face instead of her hands to break her fall. She got over it pretty quickly, mommy on the other hand didn't cope quite as well especially after seeing blood. To make matters worse, notice my shirt, and then notice the blood from her lip on my right shoulder. She gave blood alright. Poor baby!
