Fun in the Sun!

We went to Tucson this weekend for Cassidy's cousin Cally's high school graduation. If you think it is hot in South Texas, give Tucson a try, even though everyone there will tell you it is dry heat:) Cassidy had her first dip in a pool while we were there and loved every minute of it!

After the girls quick nap, we headed off to the zoo where the girls played together in the tiny tots area.

Cassidy's cousin Addison came in town with her mommy and daddy and they were two busy girls, so busy they both fell asleep in the car.

Drive-thru Zoo

We took a trip out to the drive-thru zoo so Cassidy could have an up-close experience with the animals. She got to see many animals, and she did have an up-close and personal encounter with an emu, llama and zebra...

Standing all by herself

Cassidy started standing on her own today without support. After waking from her nap she was playing on the floor and then stood up and started balancing herself because my hands were occupied with an ice cream bowl, so she just stood without my help. I couldn't believe it! We went to a drive-thru zoo after this where I caught her balancing act on film. My big girl is getting too big!

The Little Pink Dress

Cassidy's Nonna got this dress for her when she was a wee little girl. The dress has a story on it, and under each ruffle is stitched a verse from the story...Stitched between these ruffles and folds is a pretty little tale just waiting to be told about a wee girl and her little pink dress she loved it so much it was always a mess...and, of course, on the back of the panties is stitched, The End.

"Jack" Puppy

I had to post one more picture from Cassidy's birthday party. Aunt Terri and Uncle Steve gave Cassidy a "Jack" puppy, knowing that she loves puppies. As I said in the last post, she loves her Jack...this was her reaction when she first saw her puppy.
