I should have known Cassidy would get her very first purse from her fancy Aunt Kay Kay. At first Cassidy didn't know what to think about this, but she soon caught on to the idea of having her own set of keys, phone, change purse, comb and lipstick. Thank you Aunt Kay Kay.

Drinking from a cup

Now that Cassidy has started walking, I thought she might want to attempt drinking from a cup. I couldn't think of any better place to practice but the kitchen sink...no mess:) She didn't mind one bit, I guess she has fond memories of her baths in the sink when she was younger. She got more water on herself than down her throat, but she did enjoy destroying the cup.

She's Walking!

For the last week, she has been taking only one step. Yesterday, she took five steps. And, today she took off...

Now you see it...now you don't!

Cassidy somehow managed to get her shirt off today all by herself. When I left the room she had it on, when I walked back in about 10 seconds later it was on the floor. Is she trying to tell me something?

Rough Night

Cassidy usually wakes up looking like a beauty queen, but this morning might have been the exception. The power went out at 9:30 last night and didn't come back on until 4:00 this morning. Needless to say, it was hot, we didn't get much sleep, and it was hot. Oh yeah, did I mention it was hot? Anyway, Cassidy's hair pretty much told the story of how the night went. You will notice she is even holding her brush in one of the pictures, knowing good and well her hair was in need of some help.

Moving on up...

While in Tucson, Cassidy got to practice going up the stairs. She had them mastered on the first try...Scary! She does this new thing where she waves all the time, any time and at anything and you can see her practicing her beauty queen wave in the second picture when she should be concentrating on the stairs.
