Fall Festival
We made it to our first Fall festival of the month and I am sure it won't be our last. This is one of my favorite times of year, as it begins to cool down and their are lots of fun outdoor activities/festivals. Animals, tractors, slides, and kettle corn = three happy kiddos!
Big Boys Room
The boys have been sleeping in their big boy beds since the day before their second birthday, but I realize I didn't post pics of their big boy room. Thanks to Christine, the boys room has been upgraded from Green and Serene Baby Room to Fun and Bright Safari/Jungle Big Boy room. We didn't paint over the existing trees that were on the walls, we just livenend them up a bit. Just to give myself a bit of credit, I did paint all of the color blocks, while Christine did the trees. Won't be doing that again! Check out the last picture to see what the walls/trees looked like before and my sweet little boys when they were still babies sleeping in their cribs.
Boys Only Playdates
Just like their sister, I still get my one-on-one time with the boys on some Fridays, courtesy of my mom, but on the other days I get my double dose of boys! Because they are easier to entertain than their sister, our activities usually include one of three things: animals, parks or free! We made a trip to Fiesta Farm to take in all of the farm animals. For two little boys that talk about horses on a daily basis, they wouldn't even think about taking a ride on one, let alone get too close to one! Their favorite part about the farm was not the animals, but playing in a bucket of water they found in the bunny bin. :)
Girls Only Playdates!
The boys started Kids Day Out this Fall on Mondays only! I intentionally did this so I could have my one-on-one time with Cassidy, since she doesn't have preschool on Mondays. This is the last year I have with my baby girl before she starts school...wah :( Anyway, I usually give her the choice of what she wants to do, with a few suggestions from me. On this particular day, putt-putt golf was the activity of choice. The weather was gorgeous and we had a blast! I am no expert by any means, but she might need to work on her form a bit.
