Oh Croup!
Cassidy has been one sick little girl. She woke up with a high fever on Saturday, her 18 month birthday, and has been sick ever since. After our 3AM visit to the ER on Thursday morning because of Cassidy having trouble breathing, we discovered Cassidy has Croup. The doctor said she should be back to her happy little self in about a week, but until then nobody but mommy will do. Mommy will need to visit a PT after all of this from carrying my big baby girl around all the time.

18 Months Old
Our baby is growing up. She is 1 1/2 today. The last year and a half has been awesome. Cassidy has been nothing, and I mean nothing but pure love, fun, laughs and entertainment. Our once shy Cassidy has now turned into quite the ham and she loves an audience. She walks, runs, marches and trips a lot (that runs in the family). She can sing e-i-e-i from Old MacDonald, and she loves playing ring-around-the-rosie. She gives kisses on a regular basis and for no apparant reason, she will just walk up to you and say "kiss." She loves tractors, airplanes, puppies, babies and daddy, mentioning all of them several times a day. She has even started saying mommy, but I still get the occasional "puppy." She can make a horse, cow, puppy, kitty, tiger, lamb, duck, owl, snake, rooster and elephant noise and she pounds on her chest when you ask her what the gorilla says. Her vocabulary, I believe is limitless. I have to keep adding words she is saying to her journal on a daily basis. She now says things that I have only mentioned a few times, like shoes, socks and moon. She loves her baths, books and snacks, but not necessarily in that order. Jack is still her favorite puppy, and she is finally warming up to Lady. We look forward to the joys Cassidy will continue to bring our family and we are so thankful and blessed to have our sweet Cassidy.

Score: Cassidy 1 Shirt 1
Apparently Cassidy got into a wrestling match with her shirt yesterday during naptime, but it was a tie. Cassidy got one arm out and then I guess tuckered out. She woke up with her shirt in the same position, and wasn't real happy that mommy was taking pictures of her as she was waking up.
Playful Ladybug
On Halloween night, we went to a local church that was having a festival so Cassidy could play and mommy could get more candy. Each game had a religious themed name.
Cassidy is playing Samson Toy Bowling
Here she is playing Fishers of Men and Robert is apparently sleeping
Then she played Planting God's Word
And this game was Throw Away Your Sins

Zoo Boo
We went to the zoo this evening for the annual zoo boo, with our precious lady bug. She enjoyed the stickers she was given and mommy and daddy enjoyed her candy:)
Ladybug's need a snack to get them through the zoo!
Mommy painting ladybug's nose while Cappy entertains her.
We told her we were going to the zoo, so she started roaring like a lion.

New home owner
Cassidy got some new (gently used) toys today thanks to some neighbors down the street! Mommy loves a bargain, and "free" is the best bargain:) She now has her own house to maintain and do chores in, including the dishes...Welcome, to the real world baby girl!
New car owner
Along with her new house, Cassidy also got her first car today, a convertible bug. When she is a little older and can reach the pedal, we might install the battery so she can drive around as she pleases.
New lawn mower
To make sure Cassidy appreciates the importance of taking care of things such as her new house and car, we also wanted to make sure she understood that there will be times when she must get out and do her own yard as well. Bob, the yard guy is one of her favorite people, calling his name whenever she hears a lawn mower or leaf blower, so she is now following in his footsteps, literally:)

Football field frenzy
Cassidy has started joining her daddy while he runs at the middle school track, but she plays on the football field in the middle of the track. She loves running there because she can run all she wants without any obstacles, except for mommy.
Chillin' out on the fifty.
She loves swinging while we hold her and then she flips her head back.
